“G.R.’s latest and greatest mixtape – BlackBird in the Rain – is an instant classic and nothing short of a masterpiece. G.R. brings a very unique style of rapping to the hip-hop scene with this over the edge creation. Right away you get the feel that G.R. has been working very hard on producing and creating what is going to be “the mix-tape heard around the world”. The very first song is called BBR which stands for Black Bird in the Rain, and in this song G.R. opens up with a very explosive verse. His song Devil in Detroit is also an instant classic. G.R. touches on several different topics that most people will be able to relate to. His wordplay in this song is awesome, and it flows with the beat like the ocean waves. I must admit that my favorite song from the latest mix-tape is ‘Me And My Brother’. This song is a very heartfelt song, and you get the feeling that G.R. is delivering this song from the heart. If you have any friends who are close to you, or a brother that you grew up with, then this song will bring back some old memories, and sway your emotions. It’s a song that’s close to home, and it’s quick and to the point. Overall this mix-tape is outstanding and gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me. I believe that there could have been a few more songs added because we always want more as human beings. Also there could have been more features with different artists to show his diversity.
